The Hustle Cure

What if success didn’t have to feel like exhaustion? In conversation with Sophie Cliff, we explore how to rethink success beyond hustle, pressure and endless “shoulds” – and move towards a more joyful, self-defined way of living and working, guided by energy, rest and intuition.
In The Hustle Cure, Sophie challenges the one-size-fits-all rules of traditional productivity culture – rules that often overlook women’s energy, mental load, care responsibilities and changing seasons of life. Instead of offering another perfect routine, she helps us understand our own strengths, define what success means to us and make meaningful progress with less self-blame and more joy.
-
What does success look like when you define it for yourself? Why do rest and joy often feel like things you have to earn? How can you work with your energy rather than constantly pushing through? And how can you pursue meaningful ambitions with less pressure and more ease?
-
You find yourself wondering what a meaningful and successful life looks like for you
You sometimes feel caught between what is expected of you and what you actually need
You would like to spend more of your time and energy on what truly matters
You are curious about how your strengths, energy and natural rhythms shape the way you live and work
-
We live in a culture that treats “busy”-ness as a sign of importance & relevance. We are encouraged to wake up earlier, optimise every hour and keep pushing towards the next achievement. Yet we rarely stop to ask the most important question: What are we doing all of this for?
From Sophie Cliff’s perspective, something is only productive if it brings you closer to what you actually want. Working longer hours is not productive if the life you want includes more freedom. Completing every task is not success if you have no energy left for the people and experiences that matter to you.
This is especially important for women. Much of the traditional productivity advice overlooks hormonal cycles, mental load, care responsibilities, health, family needs and the different seasons a life moves through. When a universal formula fails, women are often left believing that they lack discipline or willpower.
Sophie offers a more compassionate alternative. Instead of asking you to become someone else, she invites to understand one own’s strengths, needs and sources of motivation. Her message is not to abandon ambition, but to make it more intentional: to pursue the things that genuinely matter while creating space for rest, creativity and everyday joy. -
A warm, encouraging and practical guide that combines reflection with concrete exercises. You will explore your values and strengths, reconsider the expectations that shape your choices and develop routines that work with your life rather than against it. Expect fewer rigid rules and more permission to experiment, adjust and find your own rhythm.
